Collection: CEMS-RM : CEMS Rapid Mapping

Description

Activation time (UTC): 2018-09-29 03:00:00
Event time (UTC):
Event type: Humanitarian (Population displacement (IDP))

Activation reason:
The livelihoods of millions of Afghans are currently being decimated due to drought, which is affecting numerous provinces and regions across the country, and leading to the displacement of thousands of households that can no longer sustain themselves in their areas of origin, having had a failed harvest, lost livestock, and lacking water and livelihood opportunities. (Source: ReliefWeb)

There is a risk of floods in the near future in the area where the IDP camps are located. The maps will be used to assess possible floods, the spread of the settlements and transport information if available.
