Activation reason:
The heavy rainfall began late on Sunday, 1st December and caused severe floods across interregional territory of Basilicata and Pulia Regions, in particular Basento, Bradano and Metaponto basins along the Ionian area. Gradually the event involved also the Abruzzo region, in particular the towns of Chieti and Teramo. In the whole areas several towns have been evacuated. Totally, several hundreds of people have been evacuated.
