OpenCoesione aims to reduce territorial disparities and improve peoples' quality of life
OpenCoesione is an open government initiative that focuses on the cohesion - the act of forming a united whole - between transparency, participation and collaboration in Italian policy. The portal encompasses the aforementioned three open government dimensions and promotes the involvement of citizens, government bodies, businesses, researchers, and the media in the decision-making process for more efficient and effective use of the cohesion funds. OpenCoesione aims to reduce the territorial disparities in Italy and to improve peoples' quality of life by supporting job creation, business competitiveness, economic growth, and sustainable development.
The portal collects and uses open government data. Users can access, download, and compare the available datasets under the EU Cohesion Policy. By making open government data available, users are enabled to compare, reuse, and integrate data sources as much as possible. The datasets available on OpenCoesione are continuously being updated.
OpenCoesione is one of the over 500 use cases published on the European Data Portal. If you are aware of another inspiring use case, share your experience and knowledge about different applications and websites using open data with the EDP via mail, Twitter, Facebook or LinkedIn.
