Watch the ENDORSE webinar on Personal Knowledge Management
In March this year, the ENDORSE [https://op.europa.eu/en/web/endorse]
conference took place, three days packed with presentations and round
table discussions around reference data and semantics in the European
context.

As a follow-up to this event, the Publications Office of the European
Union [https://op.europa.eu/] launched a series of webinars. The first
of this series focused on the topic of Personal Knowledge Management
(PKM) and featured Ivo Velitchkov, data management consultant and
linked data expert for the European Commission
[https://ec.europa.eu/info/index_en].

PKM refers to a conceptual framework for organising and integrating
important information that we encounter, and it has become a booming
topic this past year. Many software tools for PKM exist and the market
for PKM software has grown substantially, with the most successful
tools being the ones that manage data as knowledge graphs: Personal
Knowledge Graphs (PKG). These tools help people manage information in
emails, documents, presentations, and social media and users often
report tremendous boosts in creativity and productivity.

In the webinar, Ivo demonstrates several PKM use cases from
intelligent notetaking to project management, learning, and research.
The capabilities of these examples are explored as well as their
impact on collaborative knowledge management.
