Join the open data session on EU Conference on modelling for policy
support
Join the second biennial EU Conference on modelling for policy
support! Organised by the Joint Research Centre, this 5-day event is
free of charge, open to everyone, and fully online.
To tackle policy challenges, political choices have to be made and
transparently informed by evidence. Models can greatly help to make
informed decisions that take environmental, economic, and social
impacts into account. The European Commission makes extensive use of
models and this conference will help researchers and policymakers
identify common challenges and develop solutions across all policy
domains.

Open data can greatly contribute to the decision-making process, and
the Publications Office of the EU will organise the closing session
for the conference on Friday 26 November 2021. As follow-up of the EU
Open Data Days [https://op.europa.eu/en/web/euopendatadays](23 – 25
November), this session will highlight the main outcomes of the EU
Open Data Days with a specific focus on how open data and data
visualisation can be used to support policymaking. We will be joined
by the first winning team of the EU Datathon 2020, in the category of
‘European Green Deal’, geofluxus, and other EU DataViz 2021
speakers.
