Diving into the findings of our most recent User Survey Assessment
We are excited to unveil the findings from our User Survey
Assessment—a comprehensive exploration into our user community. The
data.europa.eu [https://data.europa.eu/en] survey was circulated among
our valued users last September and delved into various facets,
capturing insights on demographics, preferred content, and reasons for
visiting our portal.

The fact that our user base mostly falls between the ages of 35 and 54
did not come as a surprise. However, what was unexpected, is that a
majority of our users come from the private sector. This further
validates how open data makes an impact on society not just through
public organisations but also by helping companies and businesses
improve. Furthermore, students make up a prominent group of
respondents, diving into the latest open datasets and open data
statistics for academic papers and research. While respondents
emphasised the relevance of open datasets, our publications and
studies on open data also serve as strong reasons for
browsing data.europa.eu website [https://data.europa.eu/en]. Overall,
respondents had very diverse backgrounds, nonetheless IT and
Consulting and Business, Law and Management turned out as the most
popular fields.

In addition to celebrating the rich diversity within our user
community, the assessment has provided valuable insights into
potential areas for further improvement. Moving forward, our focus
will be on further expanding search engine functionalities, including
additional filtering options and enhancing accessibility to ensure
data.europa.eu is accessible to everyone.

We are excited to share these insights as we continuously strive to
enhance the data.europa.eu [https://data.europa.eu/en] user
experience!
