See the story in your data: Get to know our data visualisation tool
The Data Visualisation guide
[https://data.europa.eu/apps/data-visualisation-guide/] is one of
the data.europa.eu [https://data.europa.eu/en] apps which helps users
in understanding several topics on data visualisation and gain key
insights on how best to visualise data. In 2019 and 2022, a data
visualisation training programme for EU institutions was organised,
resulting into the content of the Data Visualisation guide.
Visualising datasets can offer a wide range of benefits that enhance
understanding, communication, and decision-making.

The guide is based on seven chapters related to data visualisation,
including design, storytelling, and common pitfalls to avoid. The tool
can be used in various ways, such as a search engine where you can
find specific topics of interest or make use of the suggested topics
provided. Each topic contains a short article providing information on
the selected link and will guide to related pages and topics according
to the content provided, including a mix of media in the form of
images and interactive charts.

The Data Visualisation guide is a free, beginner-friendly tool
provided by the data.europa academy, that also provides value to more
advanced users. Furthermore, this tool helps all users navigate the
different facets of data visualisation. The guide provides practical
insights on data visualisation tools, colour theory, typography, and
how to transform open data into intuitive, story-driven graphics.

By using this guide, you can enhance your ability to communicate
insights, spot trends and make date-driven decisions with confidence.
