Voice your ideas on the future of EU data legislation
The European Commission, in collaboration with Spark Legal and Policy
Consulting, Capgemini Invent, Open Evidence, a legal expert from KU
Leuven, and a network of national experts from Member States, is
conducting an evaluation of three key EU data laws: the Free Flow of
Non-Personal Data Regulation
[https://eur-lex.europa.eu/legal-content/EN/TXT/?uri=LEGISSUM:4375549],
the Open Data Directive
[https://eur-lex.europa.eu/legal-content/EN/TXT/?uri=CELEX%3A32019L1024]
(ODD), and the Data Governance Act
[https://eur-lex.europa.eu/eli/reg/2022/868/oj/eng].

To guide this evaluation, the Commission is inviting citizens to share
their views via targeted surveys. For the ODD, the surveys examine
how open data provided by public sector bodies is being reused, the
impact on innovation and the economy, and whether there are any legal
or technical barriers in place:

	* If you are reusing public sector data for products, services or
advocacy, the Business & Civil Society Survey
[https://ec.europa.eu/eusurvey/runner/ODD_BusinessCivilSociety2025] is
for you.
	* If you are involved with research that provides or relies on open
data, you can take the Research (Funders) Survey
[https://ec.europa.eu/eusurvey/runner/ODD_ResearchFunding2025].
	* If you are a public undertaking making data available to reuse,
the Public Undertakings Survey
[https://ec.europa.eu/eusurvey/runner/ODD_PublicUndertakings2025] is
for you.

The ODD underpins our work at data.europa.eu
[https://data.europa.eu/en], by playing a role in enhancing the
availability and reusability of public sector data across the EU. The
Directive aims to support the development of innovative digital
services, facilitate evidence-based decision-making, and drive
economic growth throughout Europe. By participating in the survey,
your views will help to evaluate the impact of the Directive and its
effectiveness in promoting the reuse of public sector information.
