GloFAS: ECMWF-ENS based probabilistic flood forecast

Collection: CEMS-GloFAS : Global Flood Awareness System 

Description

This data set composes of two separate layers, each showing a probabilistic flood forecast on a global scale based on the ECMWF-ENS. Each layer shows the number of ensembles above two threshold levels: one for the 5-year return period, and the other on for the 20-year return period.

The update frequency of this data set is daily; and the spatial coverage is global; while the horizontal resolution is 0.1 degree.

This information is produced by the operational suit of GloFAS (www.globalfloods.eu) in order to provide the user with a more detailed insight into the different forecasts and thresholds.
