COMMUNICATION FROM THE COMMISSION

amending the Guidelines on State aid for rescuing and restructuring non-financial undertakings in difficulty, as regards the period of application

(1)   

The Guidelines on State aid for rescuing and restructuring non-financial undertakings in difficulty (1) (‘the Guidelines’) are due to expire at the end of 2023.

(2)   

To provide predictability and legal certainty, while preparing for a potential update of the Guidelines, it is necessary and appropriate to extend the period during which they are to be applied for two years.

(3)   

Having regard to the above, point 135 of the Guidelines is replaced by the following:

‘135.

The Commission will apply these guidelines with effect from 1 August 2014 until 31 December 2025.’.
