THE EUROPEAN COMMISSION,

Having regard to the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union,

Having regard to Regulation (EC) No 1829/2003 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 22 September 2003 on genetically modified food and feed (1), and in particular to Article 9(2) and Article 21(2) thereof,

Whereas:

(1)

Monsanto Europe S.A./N.V., based in Belgium, is the representative of Monsanto Company, based in the United States, for 28 authorisations for placing on the market certain genetically modified food and feed under Regulation (EC) No 1829/2003 covered by Commission Decisions 2008/933/EC (2), 2009/813/EC (3), 2009/814/EC (4) and 2010/429/EU (5) and Commission Implementing Decisions 2012/82/EU (6), 2012/83/EU (7), 2012/347/EU (8), 2013/649/EU (9), (EU) 2015/683 (10), (EU) 2015/684 (11), (EU) 2015/685 (12), (EU) 2015/686 (13), (EU) 2015/687 (14), (EU) 2015/688 (15), (EU) 2015/689 (16), (EU) 2015/693 (17), (EU) 2015/695 (18), (EU) 2015/696 (19), (EU) 2015/700 (20), (EU) 2015/701 (21), (EU) 2015/2279 (22), (EU) 2015/2281 (23), (EU) 2016/1216 (24), (EU) 2016/1217 (25), (EU) 2017/1207 (26), (EU) 2018/1111 (27), (EU) 2018/2045 (28) and (EU) 2018/2046 (29).

By letter dated 27 August 2018, the Commission was informed that the representative in the Union of Monsanto Company, United States of America, Monsanto Europe S.A./N.V. had converted its legal form and had changed its name to Bayer Agriculture BVBA, Belgium. By letter dated 4 September 2018, the Commission informed Bayer Agriculture BVBA that the authorisations concerned would need to be amended accordingly.

Decisions 2008/933/EC, 2009/813/EC, 2009/814/EC and 2010/429/EU and Implementing Decisions 2012/82/EU, 2012/83/EU, 2012/347/EU, 2013/649/EU, (EU) 2015/683, (EU) 2015/684, (EU) 2015/685, (EU) 2015/686, (EU) 2015/687, (EU) 2015/688, (EU) 2015/689, (EU) 2015/693, (EU) 2015/695, (EU) 2015/696, (EU) 2015/700, (EU) 2015/701, (EU) 2015/2279, (EU) 2015/2281, (EU) 2016/1216, (EU) 2016/1217, (EU) 2017/1207, (EU) 2018/1111, (EU) 2018/2045 and (EU) 2018/2046 should therefore be amended accordingly.

(4)	The proposed amendments to the authorisation decisions are purely administrative in nature and do not entail a new assessment of the products concerned.

(5)	The measures provided for in this Decision are in accordance with the opinion of the Standing Committee on Plants, Animals, Food and Feed,

HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:

Article 1

Amendments to Decision 2008/933/EC

Decision 2008/933/EC is amended as follows:

(1)	Article 6 is replaced by the following: ‘Article 6 Authorisation holder The authorisation holder shall be Bayer Agriculture BVBA, Belgium, representing Monsanto Company, United States of America.’;
