Digital for our planet
CONNECT University is the flagship knowledge-sharing project of the European Commission’s Directorate General on Communication Networks, Content and Technologies (DG CONNECT). The initiative presents innovative technologies, closely connected with EU policies, to the general public and showcases the latest digital trends and developments.
The aim of the project is to foster inspiration, identify opportunities and threats, and to enable cooperation between the EU institutions, industry, academia, and international organisations.
This year, CONNECT University is organising the sixth edition of the Summer School, which will take place from 21 June until 2 July. The event will focus on climate change, in particular, and the creation of a sustainable and prosperous digital future. Moreover, it will include:
- Presentations of high-level experts from various EU Institutions, industry, and academia on cutting-edge technologies that help mitigate climate change for instance through a greener digital system, or in helping to reduce carbon emissions;
- Use cases that demonstrate how Artificial Intelligence (AI) or High-Performance Computing support a major societal challenge like this one;
- Examples of the increasingly sustainable and efficient digital infrastructures and technologies themselves.
