Memopol – the political memory

Memopol enables users to follow the views and voting records of members of the European Parliament (MEPs) and the French Parliament, especially on some specific issues related to fundamental freedoms. Unlike other similar tools, Memopol tries to bridge the gap between politics and citizens by listing contact details for each Member of Parliament. Want to get involved? Volunteers can upload public statements by politicians. Or, if you have IT skills, you can also help develop the site.

Economic RESTful client (ERC)

ERC is a REST API client designed to help you get the most out of economic statistics. It uses data from various sources and displays them as graphs and charts. These can then be exported into various formats. It is also possible to incorporate data from various data providers into the same chart. This tool is intended mainly for experts who want to present data in a meaningful, visually appealing way.

Thinkingabout.EU - Technologies for understanding political behaviours

Thinkingabout.EU provides information on members of the European Parliament, plus some fun features! This application tells you what each member of the European parliament (MEP) is working on, what issues they are interested in, and which MEPs are most active in each policy area. You can also explore each MEP’s ‘magic circle’– the colleagues they work most closely with. Need a break from looking at data on European politics? Why not play the ‘Match the MEP’ game and see if you can match MEPs with their country? This application is a work in progress – new features will be added soon!

OPEN FP7 – Observatory on the Seventh Framework Programme for research and technological development

Since 1984, the Framework Programmes for research and technological development have been the main European Union funding instrument for research in Europe. The seventh Framework Programme (FP7) ended in 2013 after distributing over € 50 billion to more than 25 000 projects over a period of seven years. Are you curious to know what these projects were? Which bodies submitted them? How the contributions were distributed among the various Member States? The FP7 Observatory can offer you a map and a number of tables (in Italian) displaying all of the information on this Framework Programme.
