Data Talks: a non-EU perspective on EU regulatory activity

Save the date and join our Data Talks webinar with Julia Reinhardt

Tomorrow, on Wednesday 31 March 2021 at 16:00 CET, the Support Centre for Data Sharing (SCDS) and European Data Portal (EDP) team will be joined by Julia Reinhardt, an expert in technology governance and public policy consultation, to discuss EU regulatory activity from a non-EU perspective.

Julia advises companies in the United States on compliance with the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and gives strategic advice on evolving technology policies world-wide as well as the complex “global privacy patchwork”. Having represented the German government as a diplomat, most recently on the US West Coast, she had built strong relationships with Silicon Valley businesses, start-ups, institutions, and executives.

In this Data Talk, we will discuss current EU regulations and their implications for the global data landscape, opportunities, and limitations of European approaches with respect to trustworthy AI, and its potential for businesses and advocacy in the US.

Register and join the Data Talks to learn more.
