InfringEye tracks EU infringement procedures

InfringEye is a tool to track EU infringement procedures against Member States based on data published by the European Commission.

If Member States do not comply with EU law, they risk incurring sanctions. InfringEye is a tool developed by Openpolis that aims to make it easier for journalists, stakeholders and citizens to track EU infringement procedures against Member States. InfringEye helps to put data into context and enables users to easily find EU infringement procedure data.

The tool consists of four aspects:

  1. A complete database of past and ongoing EU infringement procedures;
  2. Datasets highlighting key aspects related to the infringements;
  3. Ready-made freely available visualisations; and
  4. A thorough report providing a comprehensive picture.

The tool is based on data published by the European Commission.

InfringEye is one of the over 650 use cases published on the European Data Portal. If you are aware of another inspiring use case, share your experience and knowledge on different applications and websites using open data with the EDP via mail, Twitter, Facebook or LinkedIn.
