ReSPA events in June
The Regional School of Public Administration and Open Data
In the second week of June, the Regional School of Public Administration (ReSPA) organises two events, of which one is focused specifically on Open Data. ReSPA is the inter-governmental organisation for enhancing regional cooperation, promoting shared learning and supporting the development of public administration in the Western Balkans.
The first event is a conference on Open Data in the Danube Region that will take place on 14 June in Brussels. The objective of the High Level Open Data Conference is to facilitate the discussion among key stakeholders on the importance of the open data and the Open Government Partnership to promote transparency, empower citizens, fight corruption, and harness new technologies to strengthen governance. The conference will facilitate the exchange of views on the importance of Open Government, Open Data and Open Government Partnerships. Heleen Vollers from the European Data Portal will deliver a presentation at this event.
The second event is the ReSPA Open Day on 15 June, also in Brussels. ReSPA will present a methodology for the prevention of corruption in the IT sector, as well as other regional studies. There will also be sessions on cooperation with CSOs and think-tanks.
