On 2 December 2025, UNESCO and UNFCCC will host an online webinar titled "What’s Next for Greening Communities," concluding their joint webinar series on climate empowerment. The event will explore how communities around the world are advancing sustainability through informal education, lifelong learning, and local initiatives. Speakers will share examples from Indigenous knowledge systems, youth-led projects, and UNESCO Learning Cities, highlighting how education outside traditional settings can lead to meaningful climate action. The webinar is free to attend and open to anyone interested in community-based approaches to climate resilience.
