Danish hackathon connects Open Data with tourism opportunities

Two days of wild data exploration

A joint Hackathon will challenge Danish citizens to come up with new tourism ideas. Aalborg University takes care of the organisation, supported by several initiators (Business Region North Denmark, municipalities of the North Jutland region and national platform Open Data DK).

During "Hack the outdoors" participants and coaches explore how Open Data and other data sources might enable new services and business cases for enhancing outdoor tourism in northern Denmark. Between 16 and 23 October 2017, specific cases and challenges inspired candidates to look into for instance mountain biking, surfing, fishing, and other tourism related topics.

"Hack the outdoors" will take place on 3 and 4 November 2017 in Aalborg. More information on the hackathon can be retrieved from the official website. Pack your outdoor shoes and join this Open Data journey!
