Europe’s energy system is undergoing rapid change. From the ongoing energy crisis to the EU’s Green Deal ambitions, there is a growing need for smarter, more resilient and more sustainable energy infrastructure. Join us for the upcoming data.europa academy webinar on 'Reusing energy data: working towards a smarter and greener Europe', taking place on Friday, 22 May 2026, from 10:00 to 11:00 CEST.

The session will begin with a policy perspective from the European Commission, focusing on the role of energy data in strengthening grid resilience and accelerating the clean energy transition. Participants will gain insight into how data sharing across sectors can help achieve Europe’s energy and climate objectives, while enabling better coordination between stakeholders.

A key part of the webinar will be a practical use case. This use case will illustrate how data- and AI-enabled tools can support smarter energy use and improved resource management. Drawing on pilot activities across Europe, this use case will show how combining energy data from multiple sources can help optimise operations and improve system-level decision-making, contributing to a more flexible and future-proof energy grid.

After registering, you will receive an email with a calendar invite and webinar link. This webinar is part of the ‘Measuring the impact of open data’ course offered by the data.europa academy and will be recorded for future access.
