The Apply AI Alliance: A new forum shaping Europe’s future with responsible artificial intelligence

A collaborative space connecting stakeholders, policymakers, and sectoral experts

The Apply AI Alliance is a coordination forum created by the European Commission to connect AI stakeholders and policymakers and strengthen dialogue around trustworthy and impactful AI adoption across Europe. Designed as the central contact point for organisations active in strategic sectors, this renewed alliance continues the work of the former European AI Alliance while expanding its focus to policy implementation, sectoral insights, and real-world use cases.

Through its community exchange platform, members can share opinions, papers, and recommendations while benefiting from news on policy developments, such as activities from the AI office, sectoral initiatives, and news relating to the AI Act. The platform also hosts an event section, enabling stakeholders to publicise their activities and allowing the Commission to announce upcoming workshops on AI uptake across different sectors.

The Alliance plays a crucial role within the broader Apply AI Strategy, which aims to accelerate responsible AI adoption in key sectors including healthcare, manufacturing, mobility, energy, agri-food, public administration and more. By gathering insights on challenges, new use cases, and potential policy measures, it contributes directly to shaping sector-specific actions and future governance. This work is supported by the AI Observatory and similar to wider EU digital initiatives, such as data spaces and forthcoming sectoral strategies.

Organisations interested in contributing can join the stakeholders’ catalogue, which serves as a networking tool and a space to introduce their work. By participating, data providers and users can help ensure that Europe’s AI future is built on openness, collaboration, and evidence-driven policy.
