This survey was originally inspired by a meeting of OECD World Forum on Statistics, Knowledge and Policy which took place in Istanbul in June 2007, and which identified a need for “a more comprehensive view on societal progress – one that takes into account social, environmental and economic concerns – rather than just focusing on economic indicators”.
The results by volumes are distributed as follows:
- Volume A: Countries
- Volume AA: Groups of countries
- Volume A' (AP): Trends
- Volume AA' (AAP): Trends of groups of countries
- Volume B: EU/socio-demographics
- Volume B' (BP) : Trends of EU/ socio-demographics
