The Budget of the European Union 2014 was adopted by the European Parliament on 20 November 2013 and published in the Official Journal of the European Union L 51, on 20 February 2014. The dataset presented here contains two elements:
data in xml – expenditure for the 10 EU institutions covered by the budget
metadata in xml.
The data is organised by budget lines. The lines with figures contain information for:
the budget year, in this case 2014,
the year before, 2013,
and the outturn for 2012.
Each line with figures has a reference to the Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF)/ Political Category (CATPOL) (for example catpol="1.1.31"). In the metadata file it is possible to find the systematic descriptions of the MFF/CATPOL headings. Following the URI below it is possible to find the Budget of the European Union in its different stages (Draft Budget, Line-by-line, final Budget, Draft Amending Budgets and Draft Amending letters).
