Activation reason:
After extensive and heavy raining, during 26 and 27 of June 2018 the towns of Mandra, and Magoula, west of Athens, where 24 people lost their lives last November during torrential rains and extreme flooding, was hit again by flash flooding. No loss of life was reported but many streets, houses and establishments were flooded. Fire Service had to intervene to rescue drivers trapped in their cars and responded to dozens of calls by residents.
