Mammalian toxicokinetic database (MamTKDB) 1.0
Publisher
Description
Elimination half-lives in mammals, including humans, have been proposed as a potential complementary metric to expand the assessment of bioaccumulative properties of a substance to cover air-breathing organisms. In order to explore the possibilities of using such data in bioaccumulation assessment and predictions, human and terrestrial mammalian elimination half-life data have been collected along with physiochemical data/parameters. The database will facilitate looking up toxicokinetic data and finding respective studies. This first version of the Mammalian toxicokinetic database (MamTKDB 1.0) contains elimination half-life values for around 1400 substances collected from publications and publicly available studies. The data were collected by Norwegian Institute of Public Health (NIPH) together with European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) in 2016-2020 (Hofer T, Peltola-Thies J, Karamertzanis P, Myhre O, Lantto T, Hirmann D).
