Global long-term shoreline evolution
Pubblikatur
Deskrizzjoni
In this study we present the evolution of the global shoreline from 1984 to 2015 based on satellite observations. During this period, the eroded surface is estimated up to 28,0000 km2 which is twice the amount of accreted land. This study highlights the impact of the anthropogenic activities at the coastal zone, the footprint of coastal natural disasters and the potential vulnerability of the coastal areas due to the effect of climate change.
