ELISE Action programme conducts geospatial data study

Assessing opportunities and barriers related to geospatial data in the context of the Digital Single Market

The European Location Interoperability Solutions for e-Government (ELISE) Action offers a collection of legal, policy, organisational, semantic, and technical interoperability solutions to facilitate more efficient and effective digital cross-border or cross-sector interaction, as well as data re-use.

The ELISE Action programme carried out a study on the 'Assessment of economic opportunities and barriers related to geospatial data in the context of the Digital Single Market'. The study reveals the barriers when using location information for new goods and services in the public and private sector, and the opportunities to overcome these barriers. Last month, a webinar was held to present the main findings and recommendations put forward by the study. The webinar slides can be found here.
