Progress in health data interoperability

The world's leading IT companies jointly commit to healthcare interoperability

Opening and sharing health related data is vital to improve research, diagnosis and treatment of health-related issues. Amazon, Google, Microsoft, Salesforce, IBM, and Oracle have joined to progress towards true health data interoperability. Their statement published by the Technology Industry Council (ITI) included quotes from all parties and four "foundational assumptions" about the current and future states of health data interoperability and means and engagement to foster the development.

"We are jointly committed to removing barriers for the adoption of technologies for healthcare interoperability, particularly those that are enabled through the cloud and AI. We share the common quest to unlock the potential in healthcare data, to deliver better outcomes at lower costs." the document states.
