Join the EU Datathon on 13 June in Brussels
Register and join the EU Datathon 2019 on 13 June in Brussels, Belgium! The European Union's Publications Office is organising the third edition of the EU Datathon competition in partnership with the Romanian Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
The EU Datathon is an annual event that aims to stimulate the re-use of open data and to support competitors in showcasing their data skills and innovative ideas. The EU Datathon 2019 will have three challenges:
- Challenge 1: Innovative ideas through EU open data.
- Challenge 2: New insights into economics and finance.
- Challenge 3: Tackling climate change.
On 13 June, the 12 selected finalists of the three challenges will present their applications and interactive visualisations that offer citizens, public authorities and businesses new services or insights. Data enthusiasts across Europe are invited to join the event, get inspired by the pitches, and network with people who are also passionate about data.
This year again, the European Data Portal will support the EU Datathon as a jury member for Challenge 1: Innovative ideas through EU open data.
