Learn about the key highlights of the webinar ‘Open Data Maturity 2022: Diving deeper into the quality dimension’

Learn what was covered in the webinar on the quality dimension of the Open Data Maturity report presenting best practices across Europe

On Tuesday 18 April, the data.europa academy hosted a webinar on ‘Open Data Maturity 2022: Diving deeper into the quality dimension’. This webinar, the second in a series of webinars on the Open Data Maturity (ODM) Report 2022, provided insights into the quality dimension, focusing on measuring and monitoring mechanisms to ensure the quality of data and metadata.

The webinar started with an introduction to ODM 2022, the quality dimension and its four key indicators: (meta) data currency and completeness, monitoring and measures, DCAT-AP compliance and deployment and linked data. Following this, representatives from the open data team from Slovenia and Ukraine presented best practices on their implementation activities to ensure the quality of data and metadata. For example, the Slovenian representative shared their open data policy in place and the process followed to ensure the quality standards for data. Furthermore, Ukrainian representatives touched upon their open data policy and discussed next steps to improve open data quality.

At the end, participants had the chance to ask questions and share insights on their experience with (meta)data quality. In particular, the speakers were asked to share the verification process surrounding data quality in their respective countries.
