New edition Stuiveling Open Data Award

Submit your use case before 15 September

Are you a re-user of the Dutch Open Data? Submit your use case now and participate in the 2017 edition of the Stuiveling Open Data Award (SODA)! This award bears the name of the former president of the General Court of Auditors, Saskia Stuiveling, and was initiated in 2015 by the Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations.

The Dutch government stimulates the re-use of Open Data and with this award aims to underline the importance of re-using Open Data, given its economic, social and democratic added value. Open Data helps civil society organisations, regulators and accountants gain more insight into money flows, the delivered performance and achieved results.

The competition is open to anyone who has created an application that uses Open Data from public organisations, such as web or mobile applications or data visualisation tools. The winner will receive a EUR 20,000 cash prize for further development of the application. Participants can submit their proposal via the form available at The jury will select the finalists that will be invited to present their applications on 16 November at the ECP Annual Conference in The Hague. The winner will be selected on that occasion.
