On Friday 30 June from 10.00 to 11.30 CET, the data.europa academy will host the fourth and final edition of the webinar series ‘Stories of use cases’, focusing on the EU political priorities. Open data has vast potential to achieve strategic priorities and tackle societal, economic and governmental issues. Through its data.europa academy, the Publications Office has organised previous editions, highlighting how open data can contribute to the EU political priorities of the European Green Deal, a new push for European democracy, and promoting a European way of life and an economy that works for people.

The final session presents open data and how it supports Europe on its journey into the digital age, through three examples of open-data-driven initiatives that empower people with a new generation of technologies. These use cases help strengthen Europe’s digital sovereignty and set standards, with a clear focus on data, technology and infrastructure. In this webinar, we will count on the participation of:

The webinar will start with an introduction on making Europe fit for the digital age. Then, representatives from the various use cases will share their experiences and insights regarding the role of open data and digital innovations. These presentations will be followed by an interactive discussion where participants can identify barriers and explore ways in which citizens, developers, academia, and representatives from the public and private sector can further support a smoother digital transition.
