Gapminder: A platform that visualizes data from around the world

Gapminder is an independent Swedish foundation that aims to address misconceptions about global development by making data fun and tangible. The service allows users to visualise different types of data ranging from carbon dioxide emissions, child mortality, forestry, life expectancy rates and income in countries around the world. For example, a user can see the average life expectancy against the gross domestic product (GDP) in countries such as Nigeria, Egypt, Australia, Japan, Mexico and Germany. Gapminder collects various types of datasets, such as health data, economic data, pollution data and economic data.
