Join the Canadian Open Data Summit!

The 2021 edition takes place from 15 to 16 September

This week the Canadian Open Data Summit takes place online from 15 to 16 September!

This two-day event is co-organised by the City of Montreal and the Secretariat of the Quebec Treasury Board and already celebrates its 6th birthday. The 2021 edition of the summit focuses on two major themes:

  1. Responsible Data Governance
The first step in the lifecycle of data is publishing open data. What are the processes, dynamics, and frameworks that make this possible? Which actors are involved in the process? And, what are the difficulties of managing, and governing open data? Join the sessions to dive into these questions and discover how data can be used for the common good and bring about the digital transformation of government!

  2. Engagement and Digital Literacy
To make data truly useful and valuable for citizens, merely making public sector information available is not enough. Therefore, the open data community advocates for including more players and creating new channels. Digital literacy and active engagement are vital here. Join the sessions to learn more about user needs, the discoverability of data, and how to engage with citizens to create an inclusive and data-driven society.

The Canadian Open Data Summit is a unique opportunity for you to get to know the Canadian open data community, engage in the discussion around open data, discover the benefits of reusing data, and build a community model for an open and inclusive society.

Discover the rich programme and register to join the event!
