Big Data from Space 2025 (BiDS’25) is a flagship European event that explores how space-derived big data can power societal transformation, environmental monitoring, and technological innovation. The event is structured into two main parts: the Satellite Events and the Main Conference.

The Satellite Events, held at the University of Latvia on 29 and 30 September, are designed to be interactive and educational. Participants can expect technical tutorials, hands-on workshops, and hackathons focused on practical applications of Earth observation (EO) data. These sessions offer opportunities in AI, cloud-native data processing, and open-source tools.

From 1 to 3 October, the Main Conference will take place at the iconic National Library of Latvia. This portion features keynotes, thematic panels, poster sessions, and a vibrant industry showcase. Topics will span the use of EO data for policy impact, digital twins, and FAIR/open data.
Together, these events offer a unique blend of learning, networking, and innovation. Participants will gain insights into emerging trends, connect with experts across sectors, and contribute to shaping the future of space-based data solutions in Europe and beyond.
