How do you think open data already impacts your life today? Make sure you do not miss our upcoming data.europa academy webinar! Join us on Friday, 12 December 2025, from 10:00 to 11:30 CET, for our session: ‘The final Use Case Observatory: open data with real-world impact’
The recently published third and final volume of the Use Case Observatory concludes a three-year research effort assessing the economic, social, environmental, and governmental impact of open data reuse across Europe. Building on the findings of Volumes I and II, this edition revisits 13 active use cases and provides a comprehensive analysis of their real-world impact, offering lessons for sustainability and future adoption.
During this webinar, we will dive into the key insights from Volume III and explore two inspiring use cases in detail. Firstly, Svenja Osmers from Integreat will present their open-source tool, which enables refugees and newcomers to access information on essential services in their own language. Currently, this digital platform operates across more than one hundred municipalities in Germany. For the second use case, Antonio Moneo from Tangible Data will explain how this initiative uses creative means, like 3D-printed and laser-cut sculptures from open data, to make sustainability challenges tangible and accessible. Finally, we will wrap up the session with an interactive Q&A, giving participants the chance to connect directly with the speakers and ask their questions.
After registering, you will receive an email with a calendar invite and webinar link. This webinar is part of the 'Measuring the impact of open data' course offered by the data.europa academy and will be recorded for future access.
