European Commission - DG INTPA - Organisation information
Descriere
The Directorate-General for International Partnerships is responsible for formulating the EU’s international partnership and development policy, with the ultimate goal to reduce poverty, ensure sustainable development, and promote democracy, human rights, and the rule of law across the world. Its main purpose is to implement most of the European Commission’s external assistance, through instruments such as the Development Cooperation Instrument (DCI) and the European Development Fund (EDF). This vital task requires DG ITPA to deliver the EU’s aid budget in an open and accountable fashion. For this reason, it publishes its data in the International Aid Transparency Initiative (IATI) Registry since 2011.
