The European Data Portal launches a new video
If "A picture is worth a thousand words", one of the most known idioms in the English language, then imagine the value of a video. With this in mind, the European Data Portal has developed a short video to present Open Data and the European Data Portal. The video is distributed under an Open Licence (CC BY 3.0), allowing you to make use of it freely with an acknowledgement of the source.

Successful Annual Smart Data Conference in Berlin
At the Smart Data Annual Conference, which took place in Berlin, Germany on 14 November, over 300 participants and experts exchanged their views on the data economy and the concept of 'Smart Data'. Who won "Garage48 Open & Big Data 2016"?
From 21 to 23 October, the Tartu University Institute of Computer Science welcomed the participants of the "Garage48 Open & Big Data 2016" hackathon. During the International Open Data Conference in early October, the European Data Portal presented its first video. In this 2 minute video, the viewer is taken on a journey during which Open Data is introduced and explained. This is followed by a brief presentation of the European Data Portal on Open Data in the European landscape.
