The Data Union Conference will take place on 12 January 2027 at the Charlemagne building in Brussels, Belgium. Hosted by the European Commission, the event will bring together policymakers, businesses, experts and researchers to discuss how Europe’s data policies can improve access to data and support artificial intelligence, growth and competitiveness.

Discussions will focus on simplifying the EU data rulebook, improving access to high-quality data for industrial AI through the Data Act, and supporting open and trusted international data flows. Interested participants can express their interest in attending, with admission subject to approval. The conference will also be livestreamed.
