European data spaces in practice: insights from the DS4Skills Data Space

Join the next academy webinar to learn how shared skills data supports better education and labour‑market policies in Europe

How can skills and labour‑market data be shared more effectively across Europe? This question is at the heart of the upcoming data.europa academy webinar ‘European data spaces in practice: insights from the Data Space for Skills’, taking place on Friday, 10 April, from 10:00 to 11:00 CEST. The online session is open to everyone interested in European data spaces, skills intelligence, and evidence‑based policymaking.

DS4Skills (Data Space for Skills) is a European initiative that aims to improve access to skills‑related data across borders and sectors. By bringing together universities, industry, and public institutions, the project explores how shared data can be reused for multiple purposes, such as improving recruitment, supporting education and training, and shaping skills policies at regional, national, and EU levels. As part of the broader European approach to common data spaces, DS4Skills contributes to more transparent, data‑driven decision‑making in the field of skills and employment.

During the webinar, two speakers will share their knowledge and experience with the DS4Skills Data Space. First, Nathan Carvalho, Senior Research and Innovation Manager at DIGITALEUROPE, will provide a high‑level overview of the initiative, explaining its governance model, policy alignment, and current stage of development. He will be followed by Marcos da Silveira, Research Leader at LIST, who will present more on the AI-powered tools LIST is developing to identify skills gaps, recommend targeted training and help training providers adapt to emerging labour market needs, enabling more personalised learning pathways.

Interested in how European data spaces are applied in practice? Sign up for the webinar and hear directly from experts working on the DS4Skills Data Space. Make sure to register for the webinar and join us on 10 April. We look forward to welcoming you and hope to see you there!
