Join us on 28 November to learn more about the forthcoming Data Union Strategy and more

Are you interested in gaining insights into the forthcoming Data Union Strategy and the European data landscape? Do not miss our upcoming data.europa academy webinar! Join us on Friday, 28 November 2025, from 10:00 to 11:00 CET, for our next session: ‘Building Europe’s data future: understanding the Data Union Strategy’.

This webinar will build upon our successful webinar on the European Data Strategy earlier this year and will highlight its latest development: the Data Union Strategy. This new strategy aims to enable AI innovation by enhancing access to high-quality, curated data across research domains. It will address existing barriers to cross-border data usage, seeking to construct robust data infrastructures to strengthen the EU’s global competitive advantage.

During this session, we will explore the key elements of the new strategy and unpack the evolving legislative data landscape, including what these developments mean for the future of data in Europe. Jirka Pilar from DG CNECT will share expert insights into the DUS and its role within the broader context of European data legislation. In addition, we will also have Tania Velcsov from Spark Legal and Policy Consulting, Amanda Brincat from Capgemini Invent, and Giorgia Spolverato from OpenEvidence, who will feature findings from a recent study evaluating key European data initiatives and assessing the effectiveness of current legislative instruments, offering a forward-looking perspective on the next steps for Europe’s data future.

Are you curious to see how this new strategy is going to change the European data landscape? Register now to be part of the conversation!
