7th edition of the Aporta Meeting: "The value of data in the global ecosystem"

International Open Data event takes place in Madrid on 24 October

With the slogan "The value of data in the global ecosystem", the Aporta Meeting returns 24 October in Madrid for its seventh edition. The event facilitates the debate on (reusing) public sector data.

The Aporta Meeting brings together many international experts such as: Stephen Walker (former Executive Director of Information Management and Open Government of the Government of Canada), Bárbara Ubalidi (Head of the OECD e-Government Department), Szymon Lewandowski (Policy Officer of the Data Policy and Innovation Unit of the European Union) and Fabrizio Scrollini (Executive Director of the Latin American Open Data Initiative representing civil society).

The event will also accommodate the Aporta Awards 2017 ceremony at which the winners of the Aporta Challenge 2017 will be announced. These awards recognise good practices in the field of Open Data reuse and seek to encourage the development of new ideas for the reuse of public data.

The entire Open Data community is encouraged to participate in this event, and share his or her experiences at the Aporta Meeting 2017. Sign up today!
