Join us from 14 – 16 October to discover how to design engaging and impactful data visualisations
Do you want to build meaning around your data and uncover deeper insights through visualisations? Join the upcoming three-part data.europa academy data visualisation training series ‘Visualising data for impact', taking place from 14 to 16 October 2025, each afternoon from 16:30 to 18:00 CEST.
In a world overflowing with information, data visualisation is key to create clarity. It transforms complex numbers into compelling stories, making insights more accessible, memorable, and actionable. Whether you are working in business, research, or education, mastering the art of visualisation empowers you to communicate ideas effectively, spot trends quickly, and make smarter decisions. As data visualisation is a powerful tool for buidling understanding and communicating insights, this training series is open to everyone - regardless of background or expertise.
The training will be led by visualisation designer and professor Alberto Cairo. With years of experience and several books on infographics and data visualisation, Alberto will guide you through the three episodes, each focusing on a different element of visualisation:
- Episode 1: ‘Foundations of effective data visualisation’, taking place on 14 October, will teach the foundations of information design through Alberto’s decision-making framework.
- Episode 2: ‘Designing with integrity’, scheduled for 15 October, will discover how to spot and avoid common pitfalls that can distort data.
- Episode 3: ‘Data storytelling and creating your narrative’, on 16 October, focuses on visual design and the narrative around it to unlock the full creative potential of data storytelling.
By participating in this training, you will gain skills to create accurate, ethical and impactful data visualisations and feel empowered to start building meaning from your own data. To get the full value of this series, we highly recommend to register for all three episodes. Each episode builds on the last, helping you master the principles of data visualisation and grow into a visual storyteller.
