Future of Open Data report
On October 2019, the Data Foundation and Deloitte published a report titled " Future of Open Data: Maximizing the Impact of the OPEN Government Data Act". The report highlights how open data can help federal governments modernise their processes to meet the needs of policymakers and the American public. In addition, it states how agencies will need to address the different cultural and technical challenges in society to implement policies around open data and improve data governance. The Open Data Science Conference (ODSC) events focus on the latest news in data science and Artificial Intelligence (AI). These events involve expert-led trainings, workshops and talks with experts in data science, AI, machine learning and deep learning. A service making open legal data available in Sweden
Lexbase is a Swedish web service that provides users with legal information about individuals and companies. More specifically, the service makes open legal data available from all Swedish courts and various other authorities. When using Lexbase, users can either search for a person, an address or a company through the search function. The search function will then display results in a list, including reports on the proceedings. On 9 to 11 December, the APIdays Paris 2019 took place in France. The European Data Portal's report - Enabling Smart Rural
At the end of November 2019, the European Data Portal (EDP) published the report " Enabling Smart Rural: The Open Data Gap". The report focuses on leveraging insights from existing research and use cases and to understand and define 'rural' open data. Two types of rural open data are discussed: Rural populations - people living in rural areas. Rural economy - traditional rural industries.
