The United Kingdom (UK) Government’s Data Standards Authority (DSA) was established in April 2020 as part of the gov.uk organisation. The DSA aims to make it easier and more effective to share and use data across the government. Overall, their goal is to improve the quality of government data. In October 2019, the Global Health Security (GHS) Index was established, which is a comprehensive assessment of the preparation for epidemics and pandemics for 195 countries. The GHS Index is a project of the Nuclear Threat Initiative and the Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security, and was developed with the Economist Intelligence Unit.
