Do you want to learn more about how open data can address climate-related challenges? Don’t miss our upcoming data.europa academy webinar! Join us on Friday, 7 November 2025, from 10:00 to 11:00 CET, for our session: 'Driving climate action with open data: visual stories and impactful reuse cases', where we will explore how open data can support and accelerate climate action across Europe.
In this session, Renato Malaccorto, research director of the Open Data Charter, will share a use case from the network’s Open Up Guide for Climate Action, which identifies 71 high-value datasets for Paris Agreement countries and highlights real-world implementation examples from countries such as Panama, Colombia, and Chile. The webinar will look at the publication of climate data and how it can be reused to generate tangible benefits for the public.
The second speaker, Karim Douieb, data scientist and co-founder of Jetpack.AI, will demonstrate how to make climate change data more accessible and emotionally engaging by creating visualisations that transform raw information into clear, relatable stories. The webinar will conclude with a Q&A session, where our speakers will address your questions on this topic.
After registering, you will receive an email with a calendar invite and webinar link. This webinar is part of the ‘Measuring the impact of open data' course offered by the data.europa academy and will be recorded for future access.
