The Economic Impact of Open Data: Opportunities for value creation in Europe
The 2020 report on the Economic Impact of Open Data researches the value created by open data in Europe. It is the second study by the European Data Portal, following the 2015 report. The study forecasts the open data market size and the employment growth for 2025. Impact is exemplified by efficiency gains and cost savings due to open data.

Report 15: High-value datasets
Defining the value of specific datasets is very complex and the perspective and role of data providers in the Member States are instrumental. This report reviews relevant literature, political decisions and national initiatives to allow for a deeper understanding of the current status around value assessment of datasets. Findings from interviews with selected open data providers from different Member States provide insights into different perceptions and expectations around high-value datasets.
