How equal is life for women and men in Europe today? This data story uses open data from the European Institute for Gender Equality to explore persistent gender gaps in power, work, income and unpaid care. Drawing on the Gender Equality Index and labour market indicators, it shows where progress has been made and where inequalities remain across countries and over the life course.

The European register for protected data helps users find public sector data that cannot be shared as open data. Available via the European Data Portal, the register brings together metadata from across the EU, indicating what data exists and how access can be requested. Established under the Data Governance Act, it improves transparency and discoverability, while respecting privacy, confidentiality and intellectual property rules, supporting responsible data reuse for research, innovation and public-interest activities.

The monitoring toolbox on the Interoperable Europe Portal brings together tools, training and guidance to help public administrations strengthen interoperability across the EU. It provides access to solutions supporting the European Interoperability Framework, eLearning courses and key monitoring resources in one place. As part of the wider monitoring collection, it supports evidence‑based oversight and implementation of the Interoperable Europe Act.
