EMAIV: A German application that exploits environmental data
EMAIV, otherwise known as Analysis and Interactive Visualisation, is an application from the company Umwelt and Informationstechnologie Zentrum (UIZ) in Germany. The application is a user-friendly interface that serves as a Web-based GIS application to monitor, analyse and visualise environmental data such as water quality and ecological information over the Internet. More specifically, open environmental data is used to visualise water quality, geomorphological data, ecological information and metrological and hydrological data. Open urban data for Smart Helsinki
City of Helsinki aims to become the most functional city in the world by utilising urban Open Data in their 2017 - 2021 strategy. Key drivers to accomplish this strategy are open urban data and active community engagement. The City of Helsinki created the Helsinki Region Infoshare, an Open Data service that helps people find urban data in Helsinki and in the neighbouring cities Espoo, Vantaa and Kauniainen. Kanarek monitors Polish air quality
Kanarek is an application developed by Michal Tajchert that uses air pollution data to provide transparency about current air quality and smog in Poland. The application combines open data from 160 air quality stations of the Polish Environment Agency (CIEPD) and proprietary data from 393 additional stations of commercial providers to show levels of CO 2, NO 2 and others.
