Plan your visit in the Italian Alps with MySnowMaps
MySnowMaps is a website that shows how much snow is present throughout the Italian Alps. Users can either search for a location via a map or enter a location in the search engine. Based on this location, the website provides real-time information on different aspects of snow, such as snow depth, the amount of new snow in the last 72 hours, and a forecast for new snow to come in the next 72 hours. The information that MySnowMaps provide, is based on a newly developed mathematical model. In this model, MySnowMaps accounts for the location and slope of the terrain. INEA publishes selected projects from CEF-Telecom Call
The Innovation and Networks Executive Agency (INEA) has published the selection of projects based on proposals that were submitted for the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) Telecom Call 2018-3, 2018-4 and 2018-5. European Data Portal launches a new version of the website
On 2 May 2019, the European Data Portal was updated to offer new features to the user. One of the main new features is the implementation of a fully DCAT-AP native metadata catalogue, which makes it even easier for users to search for data. Some other features that were implemented are: Redesigned metadata catalogue and Metadata Quality Assurance (MQA) MQA uses SHACL validation for DCAT-AP compliance tests Drastically improved performance on all metadata related components (metadata catalogue, MQA) SPARQL-Manager supports asynchronous queries and notifies via mail if a query has finished

Discover P-route: a Dutch bike parking application
P-route is a Dutch application that was launched in 2015. The application is part of a broader digital system in the City of Utrecht that guides cyclists in finding a parking space for their bike. Cyclists are informed on the number of available spots in bike parking facilities in two ways: through digital signs on the street and through the application. Both the signs on the street as well as the application provide real-time information on space availability. Barcelona Open Data Challenge 2019
On 8 May, the Factory of Creation of Fabra I Coats hosted the Barcelona Open Data Challenge 2019 (original title: Barcelona Dades Obertes 2019) - an event that aims to promote the use of the open data published on the Open Data BCN website. The event had more than 300 participants, including students, teachers and representatives from institutions and organisations that specialised in data. Public review for DCAT-AP and StatDCAT
As from 10 May, the draft versions of the DCAT Application Profile and the StatDCAT Application Profile for data portals in Europe are available for public review. The new versions implement bug fix requests to the DCAT-AP version 1.2 and the StatDCAT-AP version 1.0. You can find the most important updates in these versions on the European Commission's collaborative platform Joinup.
