TheyWorkForYou is a parliamentary monitoring website that aims to make it easier for UK citizens to understand what is going on in the Parliament. The website uses data from official parliamentary sources and presents the data in a more accessible way. The EDP investigates the economic impact of open data
Does your company use open data? Participate in our research on the economic impact of open data and fill out the European Data Portal's (EDP) survey - it will only take five minutes! Find out who receives EU farm subsidies at farmsubsidy.org
The European Union annually spends around €59 billion on farm subsidies. Farmsubsidy.org is a website that provides detailed information on who receives this money and who made the payments. A citizen can, for example, find top recipients of EU farm subsidies, i.e. organisations that have received the highest amount of farm subsidies. Furthermore, a citizen can search per country or per organisation what payments have been made or what payments have been received and by whom. Towards an EU data sharing culture at the Data4Policy conference
The Data for Policy 2019 conference held on 11 June was hosted by the University College London (UCL) to bring together academia, public sector representatives, and business to discuss data re-use in the public sector. Call for Tenders to study the potential impact of High Value Datasets
The European Commission has launched a call for tenders for a study to support the preparation of the Impact Assessment on the implementing act laying down a list of High-Value Datasets (HVDs). Member States will have to make HVDs available under re-use friendly conditions in accordance with the Open Data and the re-use of Public Sector Information (PSI) Directive . This Directive facilitates the availability and re-use of public sector data and provides for the publication of HVDs - datasets that offer greater contributions to the economy and society through their re-use.
